PISJ-ES students achieve outstanding results

JEDDAH: Pakistan International School (English Section) Jeddah (PISJ-ES) students have achieved outstanding results at the 2008 IGCSE ‘O’ and ‘A’ level examinations conducted by the British University of Cambridge.

Most of the students have secured A* and A grades. The number of A*s and A grades have turned out to be highest as compared to all previous years. The percentage of A* to B grades exceeds 90 percent of the total results.

Top achievers in ‘A’ level exam have secured A grades in all the subjects. Syed Farhan Bukhari, Syed Bilal Ahmad, Areej Zahid Hussain and Zainub Qazi are some of the high achievers who all appeared in four ‘A’ level subjects and secured ‘A’ grades. Mohammad Mujtaba Mansoor appeared in 3 ‘A’ level subjects and secured ‘A’ grades in all of them. Mustufa Noor, Fizza Siddiqui and Asnia Shah opted for four ‘A’ level subjects and secured ‘A’ grades in three subjects and B grade in one subject.

“It’s a matter of great pleasure that our students have set up a glorious record of outstanding results. Our O’ level students have brought great pride to the school by producing 100 percent pass results with excellent grades, according to Saher Kamran, director finance and administration, PISJ-ES.

Students who appeared in AS exams this year also performed very well, Sehar said.

Faryal Sajjad, Areej Zahid Hussain, and Areeba Aziz appeared in four AS subjects and secured ‘A’ grades in all subjects. Mohammad Baber Jafree, Nabil Anees and Syeda Parkha Izhar took three subjects in AS Level and secured ‘A’ grades in all the subjects.

Our ‘O’ Level students performed well and achieved 100 percent results, Sehar said.

Sumayyah Fareed Khan has secured 1st position obtaining 7 A* and 2 ‘A’ grades. She has also been presented with a ‘Shaheed Benazir Bhutto Excellence Award’ in the form of a gold medal in memory of the founder of the school. Muhammad Zubair and Rafia Farooq obtained 6 A* and 3 ‘A’ grades. Syeda Arafa Suliman secured 7 A* and 1 B grade. Saadia Arshad and Mariam Aijaz Khan obtained 6 A*, 2 A grades and 1 B grade Saad-ul-Haq Mirza secured 6 A*, 1 A grade and 1 B grade. Sheikh Bilal appeared in eight subjects and got 5 A*s, and 3 A grades. Aiman Khalil also secured 5 A*s and 3 A grades. Hamza Inam-ul-Haq Mughal, Qasim Umar Afzaal, Yousuf Ali Mansoor and Rabeeha Qureshi were among the top students. They all achieved 5 A*s.

Other students achieving outstanding results and ICE distinction Awards are Farhan Khalid Hussain, Mohammad Hamza, Mauz Aijazi, Muneeb Ali Vistro, Salman Mahmood, Syed Hammad Bari, Usman Farooq, Wahaj Karar Siddiqui, Atikah Abid Gardezi, Azka Anjum, Ezzah Sajjad, Hina Mahtab, Iqra Shahid, Khushboo Shahbaz, Saleha Masood, Sara Rauf, Sarah Khan, Wadia Imtiaz, Wardah Usman Khan, Zoya Shahzad Paracha, Qudsia Khalid, Abeeha Sanai, Omer Altaf Hussain, Mohammad Ali Raza Toor , Mohammad Sohail, Aun Abdullah Raja and Hayyan Tila Khan. Aun Abdullah, Sheikh Bilal Hamid, Hamza Inam ul Haq Mughal, Mohammad Zubair, Muaz Aijazi, Muneeb Ali Vistro, Qasim Umar Afzaal, Syed Hammad Bari, Usman Farooq, Wahaj Karrar Siddiqui, Yousuf Ali Mansoor, Atikah Abid Gardezi, Azka Anjum, Ezza Saajad, Hina Mahtab, Iqra Shahid, Khushboo Shahbaz, Rafia Farooq, Saadia Arshad, Saleha Masood, Sara Rauf, Sumayyah Fareed Khan, Aiman Khalil, Qudsia Khalid.
