Al Rashed & Al Thunayan Auto Co., the sole distributor of Proton cars in Saudi Arabia, is doing well and expects to have a bigger share in the local market for the various models that include the family sedan Waja and the stylish Gen. It will also introduce the Persona and Saga in the Kingdom very soon.
With almost all makes from different countries available in the Kingdom, Al Rashed & Thunayan Auto Co. believes that Proton cars are very competitive because they are more affordable.
“With the good attributes that Proton cars have, we are very confident and optimistic that they will be among the more popular and visible cars seen speeding along the streets of the Kingdom very soon,” said Samer M. Ajjan, manager for marketing, distribution and PR. He added that Proton cars are becoming popular and gaining more market share, taking into consideration the increasing sales for Proton vehicles.
Al Rashed & Al Thunayan Auto Co. has branches all over the Kingdom so that customers have easier access to Proton cars that are also available in several countries.
Proton car owners are also given extended warranty.
For this reason, Al Rashed and the Proton manufacturer, Proton Holdings Berhad, have a viable and strong partnership to market Proton cars in Saudi Arabia.
Proton also has in its portfolio the world-renowned Lotus sports cars, with models such as Elise, Esprit, Exige, Europa and the recently unveiled Evora (which will be available in the first half of 2009) to suit a range of customer demands and preferences.
