JEDDAH: Al-Ittihad club president, Jamal Abu Omara, unveiled the new logo for Ittihad football team seeing action in the professional league this year.
The presentation of the new logo took place at a press conference Monday night in which Abu Omara announced contracts of Ittihad star and captain Muhammad Nur, defender Reda Tukar and goalkeeper Mabr(Catook Zayed were renewed. Abu Omara said the players are staying and that they will not allow anyone to leave.
Abu Omara said he would remain at the helm until the end of his term next year. He said that the rumors of him resigning his post are not true. He also said that Prince Khaled ibn Fahd would return to his position as head of the board of trustees.
Also, Abu Omara said his management team would be named on Saturday. Abu Omara admitted that the contract with STC solved a lot of financial problems and the management managed to pay the player’s contracts. He said the club did not receive any donation and financial support from honorary members.
He said that the problem of non payment of workers’ salaries at the club hopefully would be solved this week.
