Cops’ attacker arrested

MAKKAH: Police arrested a suspect involved in the stabbing of two police officers in Makkah on Thursday. His brother was also arrested for helping him escape from the scene, Maj. Abdul Muhsin Al-Mayman, spokesman for Makkah police department said. The assailant was arrested near Madinah and handed over by the Madinah police to Makkah police for investigation. Al-Mayman said the man had attacked the two traffic police officers on Thursday when they were about to give him a ticket for traffic violation.
