Indian school principals discuss crucial issues at IISD meeting

DAMMAM: A four-day conference of Indian school principals, which was held at the International Indian School in Dammam (IISD), concluded here recently after discussing important topics related to improving academic standard.

Dr. Nassar M. Shaikh, deputy rector of Prince Mohammed bin Fahd University, opened the event attended by principals of 20 CBSE-affiliated schools in the Kingdom.

Some 400 students from 12 schools took part in the cluster meet that was held on the sidelines of the conference. They participated in 33 sports items including basketball and table tennis competitions as well as in a science debate based on one earth one life.

Separate sports events for girls were held at the girls’ school ground. Mubarak Ali from the Ministry of Education was the chief guest at the opening session. Dr. Mumtaz Ali, chairman of the managing committee of IIS Dammam and CBSE Chairman for the Gulf region M.C. Sebastian attended the event. Program Convener and Principal of IIS Dammam Mohammed Shaffe welcomed the guests and participants.
