Jeddah: Prince Saud bin Hussam bin Saud, Chairman of AC Milan Academy, announced yesterday the official opening of AC Milan Academy in Obhur, Jeddah.
At a conference attended by senior managers of the Academy, led by the Italian national football star and AC Milan captain Franco Baresi, Prince Saud announced the opening of the Academy and its readiness to receive talented football youths who wish to develop their skills through scientific training methods under the supervision under a group of national and Italian football trainers, who have been through intensive training courses to assume management of the Academy.
Prince Saud bin Husam assured that the Academy is following highly sophisticated training methods that varies in accordance to age group of participants as per special classification of each category.
Prince Saud further explained that talented players will be subject to a special program, and will be sent to the AC Milan Club in Italy on scholarships for further development and improvement of their talents.
On the other side, Franco Baresi stated that Saudi football can be developed further if the existing talents are utilized properly and added that the Kingdom deserves to qualify for the World Cup.
Commenting on about the possibility of Italy regaining the World Cup for the fifth time, he assured that Italy has the human and technical capabilities to prove itself once again, he also confirmed that AC Milan team has a great chance to regain the title of the Italian league.
