JEDDAH: Wehda sprung a surprise in round 14 of the Saudi Profession League when it held Al Shabab 1-1 in Makkah.

If Al Hilal wins their match against Najran today it will further widen the gap at the top and things will be more difficult for Shabab.

The result did not affect Wehha, who is in the seventh position with 16 points and have no chance of becoming champions.

Shabab is now in the third position with 29 points.

Al Ahli did not find any difficulty defeating Abha 2-1 at Prince Abdullah Al-Faisal Stadium.

The result did not change Ahli’s position in the standings as it remains in the sixth position with 19 points, while Abha dropped to the bottom of the standings with seven points and faces the risk of being relegated to the first division next season.

Nasr collected three points against Ittifaq at Prince Faisal bin Fahd stadium in Riyadh and advanced to the fourth position after solitary goal win.

Razzak scored the only goal of the match just before the final whistle. Nasr is eight points away from Shabab in the fourth position with 21 points.

In the other match in Tabuk, Al-Watani defeated Al-Raid 3-1. Al-Watani moved to the 11th place with eight points while Al-Raid is 10th with nine points only.

In today’s two matches of round 14, Al-Hazem will take on Al Ittihad while in the other match Hilal will host Najran.
