RIYADH: The Ministry of Health will give bonuses next month to its public health employees who have rendered outstanding services in health care throughout the Kingdom.
The program of granting two-month salary as incentive allowances had been discontinued in 1996. Workers who have been in positions in the government health care sector will get two months worth of salaries for each year they’ve worked since 1996. In the case of now-deceased employees, families will receive the retroactive bonuses.
Health Minister Dr. Hamad Al-Manie said that a sum of SR570 million has been allocated on a directive from the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah for disbursements during the beginning of the new Islamic year.
“More than 10,000 health workers will benefit from this royal directive,” said Health Ministry spokesman Dr. Khalid Mirghalani.
