DAMMAM: A fire that broke out in a residential building yesterday in Al-Badr neighborhood in Dammam in the Eastern Province left one four-year-old child dead and two of his brothers, aged five and one-and-a-half, brain dead. The official spokesman of Civil Defense in the Eastern Province, Lt. Col. Mansour Al-Dossary, said that the fire started in a three-story house.
Five children were trapped inside and the Fire Department managed to rescue them and transfer them to the hospital.
The other children, aged two and-half-years-old and one-year- old, are in stable condition, sources said.
Civil Defense officials suspect that a short circuit caused the fire inside the house.
