RIYADH: Housing Development Finance Corporation (HDFC), India’s premier housing finance company, will hold a “India Homes Fair” in Riyadh (from Feb. 19 to 20), Jeddah (Feb. 23-24) and Alkhobar (Feb. 26-27), it was announced here yesterday. “This unique fair will showcase the finest properties promoted by leading developers from major cities across India,” said Sreekumar, country manager of HDFC in Saudi Arabia.
The exhibition in the Saudi capital will be held at the Riyadh Palace Hotel. It will then move to the Trident Hotel in Jeddah and Carlton Hotel in Alkhobar. It will be open to visitors from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. to 9 p.m.
Commenting on the exhibition, Renu Sud Karnad, joint managing director of HDFC, said, “We are organizing this event given the inherent need of a large number of NRIs (non-resident Indians) based in Saudi Arabia to invest in a property at home,” she said.
“Through this event we are bringing NRI home-seekers and leading developers from major cities across India together under one roof. We hope to provide a platform where both of them can interact freely so that the developers are exposed to the NRIs, their needs and preferences,” Karnad said.

There are 22 participating developers and visitors can choose from properties ranging from between Rs.2 million and Rs.40 million. Over 30,000 units of 2/3 bedroom apartments, penthouses, row houses etc. will be on display and these are well built, spacious and provide all the amenities, making them perfect for the whole family.
