HAIL: Lt. Col. Abdul Aziz Al-Zunaidi, spokesman for the Hail police, revealed more information on the man arrested on Sunday on charges of abducting, raping and killing a child.
Police say the man, whose identity was not revealed, confessed to the crime and led them to a body in a desert area north of Hail. They also say they believe the man had kidnapped or attempted to kidnap at least three other boys.
The case began when Mohsen Al-Saadi’s 25-year-old father reported that his three-year-old child was missing and that he believed a man he saw in a white Land Cruiser to be the abductor.
On Feb. 13, police received another report of a man abducting a five-year-old boy. The boy was later found alive and unharmed. On March 5, police found a seven-year-old who said he had been abducted, raped and left at the side of the road in Nakbeen village by a man driving a white car.
On Sunday, an eight-year-old boy was found walking on the side of the road with his school backpack. The boy said a man took him in his car, but later dropped him off unharmed.
Police are still questioning the suspect and soon the case will be transferred to the General Prosecution and Investigation Board.
