RIYADH: Outstanding employees at the EIRAD Holding Co. were given special awards at a function held last week at the Mothanna Hotel in the capital.
The awards were presented by Prince Sultan bin Fahd bin Salman, chairman of the company. “Our greatest assets are our employees and it is the duty of EIRAD to recognize and appreciate commitments, results and contribution of each employee,” said the prince during the awards ceremony.
He added that the services rendered by staff are appreciated since the company expects everyone to do their best. “This would serve as an inspiration for better performance in the future from the EIRAD/UPS family,” he said.
The meeting was attended by management staff of EIRAD/UPS in Saudi Arabia, including all managers, supervisors and sales teams.
EIRAD Holding Company has been the authorized service contractor of UPS in Saudi Arabia since 1997, offering UPS Worldwide Express, Domestic Express and Road Freight Service.
“Our overall profit growth was 46 percent, which was a remarkable achievement last year. We will continue steering our business to success this year, we also will continue to offer customized and integrated solutions to our customers and keep firm with our emphasis on offering service quality, reliability and value to our customers,” said Mamdouh F. Ghazzawi, executive managing director of EIRAD.
“Our export, import and domestic small package business continues to grow at steady pace, resulting in a solid earnings gain last year despite global financial crises. Small package revenues grew by 13 percent and profit grew by 30 percent over 2007,” said Marwan El Kashef, country manager of EIRAD/UPS.
“In contrast, the Supply Chain and Freight segment posted a substantial improvement in profitability and continues to grow at robust speed.
