RIYADH: Dirab Golf Club and InterContinental Riyadh Golf Club face off in a Ryder Cup style match today at the latter’s home course.
The shotgun start will be at 9 a.m. and six singles matches including two ladies matchups will be played on 3/4 handicap.
Dirab will field an all Saudi and brother tandems of Fahad and Abdulrahman Al-Mansour and Abdullah and Turki Al-Hussain. Joining them are Flore Bouzanne and Aelis Sarieddine of Dirab Ladies Group.
To banner the InterCon side are Amir Eshaq, Tareq Javed, Jun Saporsantos, Raymond Alipit and lady golfers Anne Bjornstad and Evelyn Jensen.
The match is part of the agreement that has been signed last year between Dirab Golf Club and InterContinental Riyadh Golf in which members from Dirab get a 50 percent discount when playing at Intercon and vice versa. Bouchaib El Jadiani, golf manager at Dirab, and Intercon’s assistant golf club manager Baby Joseph signed the agreement.
