Pakistan Embassy cruises into final

RIYADH: Pakistan Embassy cricket team defeated Indian Embassy cricket team by a big margin of 10 wickets to reach the final of the Castrol T20 Inter-Embassy Cricket tournament. The tournament is sponsored by Castrol Saudi Arabia and organized by Riyadh Cricket Association. The star of Pakistan Embassy win was their prolific batsman.Hamza Imran.

Indian Embassy Captain Rajeev Shahare won the toss and took the first strike, Rajeev himself opened the innings and played some handsome strokes to make 18 runs before he was bowled by Yaqoub, and his knock contained 4 hits to the fence. After his fall, the Indian Embassy batsmen did not offer much assistance, only Shelvin and Xavier tried to salvage the innings by making 13 runs each. Manoj too made 10 runs. Eventually the whole team collapsed for 97 runs. For Pakistan Embassy team, Imran Khaled and Naseem took two wickets each.

Chasing small target Pakistan Embassy openers Hamza Imran and Rizwan Ahmed gave a very good start to their innings, they batted brilliantly to take their team to a convincing 10 wickets victory. Hamza in particular was in good knick, his unbeaten knock of 41 runs was decorated with 7 boundaries while Rizwan also remained unbeaten on 32 runs.

Hamza Imran was declared man of the match for his batting. A large number of families and supporters are turning up at the grounds to watch this unique event. RCA is providing all kinds of support and facilities for the comfort of teams and their supporters. The finals will be played between Pakistan Embassy team and Sri Lankan Embassy team.
