JEDDAH: The Jeddah municipality has announced a bid offering of 11 advertising spots on pedestrian bridges. The two-year contract also includes the maintenance of each bridge rented for an advertising spot, according to a municipality official.
Nabeel Mufti, head of the municipality’s Investment Department, said the project aims at beautifying the general outlook of pedestrian bridges in addition to providing regular maintenance by investors.
He said investors should abide by advertising rules and regulations that adhere to local culture and tradition. He added that the ads are required to be written in classical Arabic and they should be set up in specified sizes and shapes that are explained in the regulations form.
Mufti said that every investor is requires presenting an accredited map that states the location, street name and full description of the size and dimensions of the ads.
Investors are also required to perform periodical maintenance for the bridges and the adverts in addition to fixing damage.
