Hazardous emissions focus of Madinah forum

JEDDAH: A two-day seminar on hazardous emissions and control began in Madinah yesterday under the aegis of Madinah Gov. Prince Abdul Aziz bin Majed with the collaboration of Taibah University.

More than 500 experts participated in the seminar representing wide-ranging fields, such as geology, biology, agriculture, civil engineering, meteorology, economy and health. Fifteen working papers were presented.

Madinah Mayor Abdul Aziz Al-Husayen and Taibah University President Mansour Al-Nuzha toured an exhibition held on the sidelines of the seminar.

Speaking on the occasion, Adel Badeeb, CEO of SEPCO for Environment, sponsor of the event, warned against the serious threats posed by environmental pollutants to human health.
