JEDDAH: Malarvadi Balasangam in Jeddah’s North Zone organized a workshop for its members in song, drawing, speech and poem/story writing at Dauha Al-Uloom International School here recently.
More than 100 students and resource persons attended the workshops conducted by Meera Nandan, a music teacher, Sethu, director of Focus advertising, Osman Pandikad, a poet, A.R. Manoj of SEGI and Nizar Iritti, chief resource person of Balasangam.
Paul Joy, headmaster of Open School at International Indian School Jeddah, opened the event, urging students to work hard to excel in education and cultural activities as well as to win their rights.
Abdul Shukoor Ali, former coordinator of Balasangam, presided over the function. He spoke about a unique diary that has been published by Malarvadi for the personality development of schoolchildren.
M.V. Saleem, director general of Dauha Al-Uloom, commended Malarvadi’s activities aimed at enhancing the various capabilities of children.
