AISJ holds soccer tourney for kids

JEDDAH: The American International School of Jeddah along with Stars Soccer Academy hosted a four-team soccer tournament for kids between the age groups (6-9) and (10-14) last week.

In reaching out to the Jeddah community the coaches and organizers of the tournament Tariq Hanaif and Hesham Ibrahim held the tournament to give the kids a chance to play football in an organized setting with qualified referees supervising the matches.

The teams were able to show off their abilities with their families, fans and friends watching in a family oriented environment.

The tournament gives the players a chance to compete, learning good sportsmanship, and engaging in healthy life styles.

The teams entered were AC Milan Football Academy, Stars Soccer Academy and Jeddah United football Club. In the 6-9 age group, Jeddah United emerged winners.

Stars Soccer Academy finished runner-up and Red Sea Football Club third.

In the 10-14 age group, AC Milan came in first, Stars Soccer Academy second and Jeddah United finished third and last. Next year’s tournament will be expanded to six teams in each age group.
