BURAIDAH: A new Managing Committee has taken over the affairs of the International Indian School, Buraidah (IISB) with Kaunain Shahidi as chairman for three years, effective from May 31, 2009, a press release said.
The charge taking over ceremony took place under the supervision of Abdul Aziz Al-Farraj, manager of Department of Education (Civil and Foreign) of the Ministry of Education, Buraydah and R. N. Vats, second secretary (Education) at the Indian Embassy, Riyadh.
The other members of the new Managing Committee are Dr. Ahmed Wasey (vice chairman), Mohammed Basheer, Dr. Fakhruddin, Dr. Imran, Dr. Rizwan, Dr. Ashfaq, and two reserve members are Ejaz Akhter and Dr. Nasim Ahmad.
Abdul Aziz Al-Farraj explained the MOE guidelines applicable for foreign schools in the Kingdom. R. N. Vats thanked Al-Farraj for all the support and appreciated the efforts of outgoing committee.
Shahidi pledged to work for the betterment of the school during his tenure as chairman and expressed his gratitude to the Ministry of Education and the Indian Embassy for conducting a fair process of formation of the school MC.
