JEDDAH: The cast of “Deciding Men,” led by the Syrian producer Najdat Anzur, has arrived in Latakia, Syria, where Anzur has decided to film a scene depicting the 1967 Arab-Israeli War in the Golan Heights. The TV series will be aired in Ramadan on Abu Dhabi channel. Anzur has received help from British war movie experts to film realistic war scenes. Hala Shehab is to design clothes depicting Israeli territory and soldiers.

Critics say Shehab has been very precise in reproducing minute details. “Deciding Men” is a story about a teacher from the Golan Heights, Fares, who takes part in the war. Once over, he returns to his village to find his mother and brothers dead and sister wounded. He decides to retaliate by carrying out a suicide operation in Israeli-occupied territory. In the end, Fares does not carry out the attack and travels to Europe to work in a restaurant that is frequented by Israeli gangsters.

Actors to feature in the drama are Basil Khayyat, Ayman Reda, Muna Wasif Maya Nasri, Miss Lebanon 2007 Nadin Njaim and others. The drama is being filmed in Syria, Germany, France and Cyprus.
