AL-JOUF: Al-Jouf police have foiled an attempt to kidnap a 13-year-old boy. Three men forced the teenager inside a jeep while he was walking on the street. Police received reports on the incident from eyewitnesses and immediately secured the area. The vehicle was spotted and two suspects were promptly arrested while a third man was captured after a chase. The boy was unharmed.

In another incident in the area, police arrested four suspects accused of assaulting a farm worker and then stealing his money and cell phone. Col. Daman Al-Daran, spokesman for Al-Jouf police, said police surrounded the farm where the crime took place after receiving a report of the incident from a friend of the victim who had locked himself in a room and called the authorities.

Meanwhile, a 10-year-old child died after he fell inside a well in Muwaqaq city, 80 km southwest of Hail. According to police, the child was playing near the well without the knowledge of his parents. Teams from the Civil Defense arrived in the area. It took about three hours to recover the body from the 40-meter-deep well.
