Doctor attacked in Sakaka hospital

AL-JOUF: A Saudi man went berserk and beat up an obstetrician at Sakaka General Hospital after his wife delivered a stillborn child. Staff at the hospital interfered and saved the doctor.

Al-Jouf police spokesman Col. Daman Al-Daran said police arrested the man after receiving news of the attack. “According to witnesses, the father lost self-control and attacked the doctor, accusing him of killing the baby,” said Al-Daran.

He said the doctor later dropped charges and the man was released. However, the case was transferred to court because the man was also charged with causing disturbance at a public place.
