CITROEN

Citroen’s C5, which is packed with engineering innovations stylish design, made its debut in Jeddah on Sunday night. “The new Citroen is a perfect balance of aerodynamic exterior and styling, and useful practicality integrally compatible with an active dynamic lifestyle,” Khalid Bakhashab, GM, Bakhashab Brothers Holding Company (BBHC) told a press conference at the Citroen showroom in Jeddah. “It sets new standards with a surprisingly spacious cabin and interior comfort for all occupants to relax and enjoy the ride,” he said. The new C5 establishes a strong position in the mid-high range vehicle segment, where the key qualities are appeal, performance, status and quality, he added. “As a saloon, the new C5 stands apart for its distinguished styling and elegant personality. Its dynamic lines are clearly marked waistline. Inside the car, a well designed cabin and premium materials contribute to on-board comfort,” Omar Bakhashab, deputy GM at BBHC, said.

SUZUKI SAUDIA

Suzuki Saudia, the sole distributor of Suzuki vehicles in Saudi Arabia and part of the Bamarouf Group, recently inaugurated a spacious fully equipped service center on Palestine Street, Jeddah, in line with its strategy to maximize customer satisfaction through after-sales services. The service center, which has a team of highly experienced professional staff, offers top quality maintenance and after-sales services for the entire line of Suzuki vehicles. The company says this is the first of a series of Suzuki service centers to be opened across the Kingdom, which will be in Makkah, Madinah, Riyadh and Dammam, in addition to branches in Taif, Jubail, Qassim, Tabuk, Jazan, Khamis Mushayt and Hofuf. “This center, with its well-trained staff, is equipped to handle around 40 cars at a time,” said Maher Al-Nabawy, DGM, Suzuki Saudia.

ALCATEL-LUCENT

Alcatel-Lucent has recently deployed for the Ministry of Culture and Information (MoCI) in Saudi Arabia a comprehensive IP overhaul replacing the ministry’s legacy systems with a full end-to-end converged communication solution. Currently, almost all the components of the network are already up and running. The solution included a complete revamp of the legacy system of the MoCI to a full end-to-end converged communication solution that includes voice, data, contact centers, Wireless LAN and Unified Communication in a multi-site environment. Alcatel-Lucent solution comprised the delivery of Alcatel-Lucent OmniPCX Enterprise for 5,000 users over 6 sites, OmniMessage Voicemail 4635 dual language with My Messaging users, OmniVista 4760 Network topology, directory and accounting, OTCC Premium Edition 5 agents, CCIVR 10 ports, My Instant Communicator 610 users VxMl ports including TTS, Voice over Wireless LAN solution (MIPT).

Zain, a leading mobile telecommunications operator in the Middle East and Africa, has announced to sponsor the first “Mandela Day” concert to be held at New York’s Radio City Music Hall on July 18. The event is designed as a call around the world for people to celebrate former South African President Nelson Mandela’s inspiration and values, while sending the message across that each individual has the ability to make the world a better place to live in. Several guests from Saudi Arabia are likely to attend the event. “It is also an occasion to pay tributes to one of the world’s most loved leaders and Nobel Peace Prize Laureate Nelson ‘Madiba’ Mandela, as he turns 91 this year,” said Saad Al-Barrak, Zain’s CEO, while announcing the sponsorship deal, in Riyadh on Monday.
