MAKKAH: The World Assembly of Muslim Youth (WAMY), an Islamic educational organization that provides a platform for Muslim youth to gather in an Islamic environment, recently held its second forum in Makkah to emphasize the vital role of the youth in building a better future for the global Muslim community.
The symposium discussed broader promotion of Islam and Shariah, identified correct Islamic beliefs and encouraged greater pride in Islam among the youth. It also identified and commended various bodies, institutions and scientific associations supporting the cultural and professional growth of Muslim youth to enhance dialogue and understanding between Muslim organizations and Western societies.
“The Assembly succeeded in clarifying the message and mission of Muslim youth during the forum. We recognize the potential of Muslim youth in effecting positive change across Muslim society as well, which is why we were elated to have the opportunity to fully support this event. Our productive partnerships with organizations such as WAMY enable us to contribute to the growth of Muslim communities and better global understanding of the Islamic faith,” said Monther Al-Harthi, general manager, Al Rabie Saudi Foods Co. Ltd., which sponsored the forum.
