JEDDAH: The Jeddah police have arrested a Sudanese employed as a cashier in a prefabricated concrete company. The man has been charged with stealing SR100,000 from the company safe, acting police spokesman Lt. Col. Abdullah Al-Mutawae announced. He said the Sudanese informed the police that the money was taken from the safe and accused another Sudanese of having stolen it. The security police suspected the cashier of theft and are keeping him and the second Sudanese in custody pending further investigations.
Expat caught with unrelated women
JEDDAH: An Ethiopian expat was caught committing khulwa (illegal seclusion) with two Ethiopian women. When the man was searched, the police found SR20,000 which the police suspect was stolen. The spokesman said all the arrested suspects were being questioned prior to handing them over to the Investigation and Prosecution Commission for further necessary action.
Police arrest gang of robbers
RIYADH: Riyadh police arrested 13 wanted criminals of different nationalities last week during police raids, Madinah reported. The criminals were wanted in connection with expatriates being robbed. Police are still investigating and will transfer the criminals to the court after investigations have been completed.
Drunken man steals police car
TABUK: A drunken man took advantage of police officers who were busy at a checkpoint and stole their car, Madinah reported. The drunken man could not control the police car and crashed a short distance from the checkpoint. The man was seriously injured and was taken to King Khaled Hospital in Tabuk. Police also found drugs in his possession.
