JEDDAH: The first Saudi forum for productive families will be held at Lailati Hall here Oct. 10-12 with the objective of fighting poverty and unemployment, promoting productive family cadres and amalgamating their contributions in the national economy, chairperson of the Jeddah Council for Social Responsibility, which is organizing the event, Ulfat Qabbani announced recently.
She said four ministries would participate in the organization of the forum in addition to a number of persons concerned with social and welfare work.
“Exploring the role of productive families in the light of the integration of partnerships” will be the slogan of the forum that will raise the slogan of: “we are all producers”, she added.
According to her, the forum will endeavor to promote the contribution of family production in the sustainable development and making it internationally competitive. She said the four major partners are the ministries of: Social Affairs, Commerce and Industry, Labor and Education.
“A preparatory committee comprising representatives of these ministries and other personalities has been formed to make all necessary arrangements for the big event,” she said.
The basic theme of the forum will be the partnership between the public and the private sectors.
