JEDDAH: Police in Jeddah are investigating allegations made by a 54-year-old woman who has accused her husband of sexually abusing their three daughters aged between 9 and 21.
The woman, a government employee, said her daughters complain of her husband’s behavior. In her complaint to the police, the woman asked the authorities to interfere and save her daughters. After receiving the complaint, police detained the man at his home in south Jeddah. The man, however, rejected the charges and denied any wrongdoings. One of the three daughters is thought to suffer from a mental illness caused by the abuse.
A source from the General Prosecution and Investigation Board said that if the allegations were found to be true then the man would be made to appear in court and punished.
