TABUK: Coast guards in Tabuk discovered the body of a two-year-old Egyptian girl who went missing on Tuesday, the third day of Eid, Al-Riyadh newspaper reported on Saturday. The girl's body was discovered seven kilometers from the place where she went missing. Teams of coast guards and divers had been searching for her since her disappearance.
Civil Defense averts disaster
JEDDAH: Teams of Civil Defense officials helped evacuate a truck carrying chemical components to a safe location after the discovery of a leakage, said Capt. Ali Al-Amri, official spokesman for the Civil Defense in Jeddah.
Al-Amri said the truck was escorted to an isolated location on the Old Makkah Road near Prince Abdullah Al-Faisal stadium south of Jeddah. The spokesman said the leak was contained and no damage was recorded.
Al-Mawarid School extends summer break
JEDDAH: Al-Mawarid International School in Jeddah has announced that the summer vacation has been extended to Oct. 9 as per the order of the Ministry of Education. School will reopen on Saturday, Oct. 10, for all classes (LKG-XII), said a statement.
