RIYADH: The Government of India Tourist Office (GOITO), Dubai, in collaboration with the Embassy of India, Riyadh, is organizing an “India Tourism Road Show” in Riyadh on Tuesday.

The event will be held at the Ibn Turki Hall in the Sheraton Hotel at 6 p.m. Minister of State for Tourism, Sultan Ahmed is leading a large delegation of officials from India’s Ministry of Tourism, executive directors of GOITO in Dubai and Tokyo, and a large contingent of Indian tour operators.

The event includes detailed presentations on Indian tourism, buyer-seller meetings between Indian tour operators and Saudi tour operators, a raffle draw to conclude with. The participants will also have a taste of Indian delicacies.

The event is aimed at introducing a variety of tourism packages to Saudis with a view to attract tourists from all walks of life. The medical tourism component of the event will highlight the growing and advanced medical treatment facilities available in India.

The presentations will also bring out the rich and diverse attractions in India — ranging from the majestic Himalayas to the golden beaches of Goa; from the exquisite architecture of the south to the splendor of the Taj Mahal and, of course, India as a shoppers’ paradise.

Nine top Indian tour operators from all over India are participating in the event and around 80 Saudi tour operators are expected to attend. Doctors and heads of hospitals are also expected to attend the event in view of the medical tourism component.
