AL-JOUF: In order to raise awareness about swine flu, the Health Affairs in Al-Jouf recently held a lecture on the disease at the Institute of Vocational Training in Skaka.
The lecture was delivered by Dr. Merghani Al-Taher, supervisor of primary health care and preventive medicine and coordinator of the swine flu awareness project at the Health Affairs in Al-Jouf. Al-Taher spoke about the disease and steps people can take to not catch it. He also spoke about procedures that schools need to follow to fight swine flu.
People who show flu-like symptoms are advised to remain at home, not go to work or school, reduce contact with members of the public, cover their mouths and nose when coughing or sneezing, dispose of tissues immediately after use, and wash their hands after touching their noses and mouths.
