Lecture on Caliph Umar

JEDDAH: A lecture on the second caliph of Islam will be held today (Wednesday) as part of a monthly series exploring the Prophet’s companions. Journalist and researcher Abdul Sattar Khan will speak about Umar bin Khattab at a venue close to the Isteqdam Office in Jeddah. “This is part of a monthly lecture series on 10 heavenly-bound companions of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him),” said event organizer Abdul Mateen Osmani.
