Focus on a new city in Jeddah

JEDDAH: Discussions are underway to establish a new city north of Jeddah. The city’s municipality on Saturday organized a second workshop to consider a detailed study of the Kingdom City, expected to be completed in about 15 years. The workshop discussed elements of the new city’s master plan, such as the density of population, built-in areas, the traffic and road network, open areas and other environmental issues. Participants discussed various execution phases of the project, including architectural designs, parks and public gardens, schools, health centers and green areas.
