DAMMAM: Gov. of the Eastern Province Prince Muhammad bin Fahd approved on Wednesday recommendations by a special committee formed to look into the rioting that took place in Alkhobar on Saudi National Day.
The recommendations were presented to the prince in a meeting on Wednesday. The committee included Dr. Essa Al-Ansari, president of Prince Muhammad bin Fahd University, and Sheikh Abdullah Al-Luhaidan, head of the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Endowment, Call and Guidance branch in Dammam.
Prince Muhammad earlier directed the committee to study the issue and conduct interviews with youths involved and their parents. Some of the recommendations have been approved by the prince and will be soon implemented to prevent a reoccurrence of such incidents.
