Mobily’s 3.5G traffic up

RIYADH: Mobily’s 3.5G network in and around Makkah saw a 73 percent increase in traffic compared to last year’s Haj season. The bulk of the increase came via national and international data transfers through broadband and EDGE technologies, with broadband being the leading medium in downloads. Nasser Al-Nasser, chief network development officer at Mobily, said that 3G usages was mostly for Internet and national and international video calling.
