TABUK: Crown Prince Sultan, deputy premier and minister of defense and aviation, donated on Sunday SR1 million to a young woman who pardoned her father’s murderer.
Fatimah Al-Nezal was around 12 months old when Abdullah Al-Saqr killed her father, Askar Al-Nezal, approximately 20 years ago.
The young Saudi woman had refused to accept blood money offered by Al-Saqr’s family in exchange for a pardon, saying she had forgiven her father’s killer seeking Allah’s pleasure.
Tabuk Gov. Prince Fahd bin Sultan handed Fatimah and her family a check for SR1 million at a reception in the governor’s palace. Prince Fahd also conveyed Prince Sultan’s thanks and appreciation to the young woman and hoped her action would serve as a model for others to follow.
