“Hundreds of Saudi students are already pursuing studies across Switzerland and we expect many more to experience Swiss learning excellence,” said Christophe Xavier Clivaz, director general of Swiss Learning International Platform and leader of a nine-member Swiss education delegation.
“Our country prides itself in being able to offer a first-class education through its pre-university and post-university studies and in being the leader in scientific research,” he said, adding that Saudi students have expressed special interest in vocational and professional courses. A great number of students enquired about English language and hotel management courses. “What distinguishes Swiss education is its firmness, discipline, openness and an all-round education with a focus on personal as well as academic development.
Switzerland welcomes students into a multicultural environment and a world of respect and understanding,” he said, adding that each student contributes through his or her own language, culture and religion to make our institutions part of a global village.
“We unite all possible elements to prepare each alumnus to become a world citizen. Our aim is to present a view of secondary, university and professional establishments that guarantee the traditions of Swiss education,” Clivaz said.
Since 2009, he added, Swiss Learning provides training workshops for teachers, in collaboration with internationally renowned institutions such as the International Baccalaureate. These high quality programs are the result of integrating Switzerland’s own virtues of excellence, tradition and innovation.
Showcasing their education and boarding facilities were Institut Le Rosey, Brillantmont International School, Aiglon College, College du Leman, Les Roches International School of Hotel Management and Glion Institute of Higher Education. All of them offer a wide range of courses including English language, and specialized, summer and extracurricular courses.
