The new concept cafes, to feature preparations like frozen yogurts, dark chocolates, no-sugar vanillas and classic strawberry made up of natural ingredients; are all set to make a strong debut in the local market and change the eating/drinking habits of the people.
“The UFC has already opened four outlets this week — one on Tahlia Street, another in Riyadh Gallery and a third in Granda Mall in the capital city,” said Khushru Mistry, UFC chief executive officer.
Mistry said that a FreshBerry Cafe had also been opened at Dhahran Mall in the Eastern Province. Mistry said the FreshBerry brand, which opened its first outlet in Oklahoma early last year, had marched from strength to strength in terms of public appeal.
“Today, there are more than 300 FreshBerry outlets in development across  Oklahoma, Texas, South Carolina, California, Arizona and New York besides Saudi Arabia and Bahrain,” said Mistry, adding that the UFC was  proud to be FreshBerry’s first partner to bring the brand to Saudi Arabia or to a foreign country.
He pointed out that the FreshBerry kiosk version has been introduced in Saudi Arabia for the first time, and its chic design will be a surprise take for the consumers.
The new cafe concept, he pointed out, has utilized glass surfaces, neutral colored terrazzo tiles, crazy mosaic, acrylic interiors, and wavy wall decor, to provide a backdrop for the inviting and contemporary feel of an urban style yogurt cafe.
“We are grateful to have UFC as a partner, they are clearly recognized as one of the leaders in international multi-unit food operations, and also holding a master license for the Pizza Inn brand across MENA region and Asia,” said David Rutkausas, chief executive of the Beautiful Brands International, the parent company for Freshberry Frozen Yogurt Cafe.
Referring to the features of the FreshBerry products, Rajendra Shah, UFC’s head of regional marketing and franchise said that “FreshBerry is a high-class frozen yoghurt franchise with products made out of all natural ingredients.”
The FreshBerry menu features exclusive frozen yogurts — FreshBerry Tart, All Natural Decadent Dark Chocolate, No Sugar Added Vanilla, and Classic Strawberry, just to name a few.
Also on offer are smoothies made from fresh fruit and yogurt with an ample choice of fruits including strawberry, blueberry, raspberry, blackberry, kiwi, pineapple, orange and mango. “And just for the kids, the FreshBerry menu also features signature FreshPops, said Shah.
FreshPops are frozen yogurt popsicles made from FreshBerry frozen yogurt”, Shah explained. “All natural and low fat products … and zero wastage is our natural way to support the green and eco-friendly causes.”
The UFC is a division of the A. Abunayyan Group and Master Licensee for FreshBerry and Pizza Inn brands across MENA and Asia regions.
