“SCTA Chairman Prince Sultan bin Salman will award certificates of grade and metal plaques displaying the grade beside the SCTA logo to hotels in a function on the sidelines of a five-day forum on tourism investments in Riyadh. Every graded hotel will have to display the plaque at a conspicuous location so that customers see them,” the Saudi Press Agency reported on Friday.
The new grading system, which aims to replace all past grading and classifications, will be implemented in all provinces in the Kingdom. The SCTA will also grade furnished apartments by the middle of the year and the grading in Makkah and Madinah will be completed before year end.
