If my father Abdul Qader Tash was with us today, he would have been celebrating this 35th anniversary of Arab News regardless of whether he was still leading it or not. Loyalty is one of his legacies. He was a loyal Muslim, a loyal Saudi, a loyal son, father, brother and friend. And he was certainly loyal to his profession as a journalist, even more so to newspapers and even more and more so to Arab News.
Father, I remember the joy and fulfillment you felt during your professional career as a journalist. Because despite the long days and sleepless nights, you were making sure that you spread the joyful spirit all around you, at work and at home. You went from meeting to meeting, from conference to conference and from country to country, fulfilling your mission of being a progressive voice of your country, religion and its people. You had a vision, you made a difference and you certainly left behind a legacy that makes people not only remember you, but still shed tears whenever your name is mentioned.
Dear Mr. Khaled, it is an honor to participate with you on this festive occasion celebrating the 35th anniversary of Arab News. On behalf of my mother, brothers, sisters and the entire Tash family, I want to extend the congrats to every single person, previously or currently involved in this great establishment. I am certain that my father would have written a great article for this edition, for that would have made him happy to share the success that he was one day part of. But today, in his grave, I am sure he would feel happy by the fact that you still remember him and asked his family to share this success with you. Thank you Arab News. May Allah bless you with even more successes.
