The forum will be organized by the Jeddah Chamber for Commerce and Industry (JCCI) in cooperation with Al-Fares Group for Conferences and Exhibitions. Minister of Transportation Jabara Al-Seraiseri will also attend.
Experts, researchers, and investors will be attending the two-day forum that will discuss the latest development in the field of marine transport.
"Saudi ports are competing globally," said Tariq Abdulrahman, chairman of the JCCI's Marine Transport Committee. "We have five ports in eight strategic locations."
This includes the Jeddah Islamic Port, which is the second largest port in the Middle East after Dubai's Jebel Ali.
Abdulrahman said that Saudi Arabia has some of the safest ports in the world.
"The aim of this forum is to host an annual discussion on international navigational issues, solve Saudi navigational problems, and spotlight the challenges that are facing the marine sectors," he added. "
Experts at the forum will analyze the world market in the field of sea transport, financing and foreign-investment projects in the Kingdom.
