An agreement was signed to provide training to the young men to enable them to acquire specialized sales skills, after which they will be employed in sales positions at Rubaiyat Fashion.
Fahd Al-Suwaih, Rubaiyat Fashion human resources manager, and Abdulrahman Al-Fihaid, BRJ executive director, signed the agreement. Al-Suwaih said the agreement comes in line with Rubaiyat's commitment to provide jobs to Saudis. Rubaiyat has been operating in the Saudi market for 30 years.
The company is seeking to Saudize jobs and develop national human resources for top leading positions at various departments in the company.
Al-Fihaid said the candidates for Rubaiyat sales positions have been selected by BRJ in coordination with Rubaiyat. A training course has been launched with support from the Human Resources Development Fund (HRDF), which signed a finance agreement with Rubaiyat under which trainees will receive a monthly salary of SR1,500 during the training period. In addition, the HRDF will pay half of employees’ salaries over the first two years of employment.
Al-Suwaih said: “We have designed this training course to fulfill Rubaiyat’s requirements. The six-month advanced training course comprises theoretical and practical components and is designed to provide trainees with the required sales skills and behaviors to enable them to perform their tasks in malls and retail stores.
“In addition, trainees will be able to improve their English-language skills and learn how to interact with suppliers and merchants. We have also introduced the computer software to prepare the future salesmen and enable them to carry out electronic marketing and purchasing jobs. The training program includes other elements, such as public relations, customer service, effective supervision and marketing. At the end of the training, trainees will receive an authenticated certificate from the Technical and Vocational Training Corporation (TVTC).” Recently, BRJ has published a brochure including the services provided to private sector companies and establishments, and how they can secure their human resources needs through the website, www.Babrizqjameel.com
