Ghassan Daghlas, the Palestinian Authority official monitoring settler activity in the northern West Bank, said that occupiers from nearby settlement of Shilo arrived at the West Bank village of Qaryout and seized control of 15 dunams of agricultural lands near the villages of Douma and Al-Moghayer, to the south of Nablus.
He added that the occupiers started installing barbed wires around the piece of land. Fawzi Shihadeh, the head of Ourif village's council, said that occupiers from the nearby settlement of Yitzhar torched a vehicle in the village.
Shihadeh added that the perpetrators tried to set other cars on fire, and sprayed the word "Revenge" on the wall of one of the homes.
He added that residents saw the perpetrators leaving the village in the early hours of the morning. Shihadeh further said that the occupiers hurled rocks at another car smashing the windshield.
"We are assessing the exact damage," Shihadeh said.
The Israeli army confirmed receiving a report of the incident and said it was investigating it. The army said that the occupiers also doused two other cars in Ourif.
