Khaled Al-Aboodi, chief executive officer of ICD, said IMC’s main objective is to bring world class expertise and best practices in Islamic leasing industry. IMC will offer “turn key solutions” and will bring all required expertise in ensuring that all new ijarah companies are properly set-up and thereafter successfully operationalized.
Al-Aboodi hopes the IMC will work with various governments and its agencies in developing leasing industries and leasing laws in countries, where leasing is still not developed. IMC is currently advising ijarah companies in Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan. He said the IMC is also working on various advisory projects in several of ICD member and non-member countries, such as Russia, Turkmenistan, and Saudi Arabia, among others.
Basel A. Haj-Essa, director for Channel Department of ICD and the chairman of IMC, remarked that IMC will be an ultimate referral point when it comes to Islamic leasing.
IMC offers complete software support including a disaster recovery center through two of its centers in Bahrain and Jeddah as well as other services such as pre-incorporation, post-incorporation activities, recruitment, training and monitoring of ijarah companies under its wings.
IMC’s CEO Sanjeev Chadha said IMC’s would help start an ijarah company by reducing its start-up cost and time so that a lot of savings can be achieved. IMC will provide all the necessary services under one umbrella including, but not limited to, all operation manuals and policies, software, disaster recovery center, internal audit services, product development, training and recruitment.
