The man was knocked unconscious and suffered multiple injuries. He told police that he does not know why he was attacked.
Meanwhile, police in Taif are investigating four young Saudis who attacked a Filipino man at his home and stole his mobile phone and money he had with him. The man, a doorkeeper at a private enclosure, provided police with a detailed description of the men and their car plate number.
Two of the four were arrested a short while after the attack.
