Only then would the officer responsible for passengers be forced to pass through the lounges of ordinary passengers, realize their suffering and understand the shortcomings in the services being offered to them as well as the loopholes in travel procedures.
Similarly, the standard of our health services will not show any improvement until the officials’ sections are closed and their clinics and suites shut down.
Then the concerned official would be forced to sit down in the waiting room of ordinary patients so that he can realize the gravity of the suffering they are experiencing, especially with regard to clinic appointments as well as the standard of health care and follow up care they are receiving.
The performance of any section dealing with the public in our government offices will not improve unless we shut down the offices of the middlemen. Then, all the influential people would be forced to sit in the hall, waiting for their turn.
There, they either wait for their ticket number to be called out or, in the absence of such a system, be part of the crowd gathering in front of the official’s window.
Implementation of any law improving services would not be effective unless we plug the loopholes that allow officials to gain exemptions to the rules. Then, everybody would be equal in front of law. Only then will they reap the fruits without any discrimination and get their rewards without any exemption.
Any project will not be beneficial unless the loopholes allowing personal interests to take precedence are plugged. Then, we can save our public projects from those who try to abuse them for their own personal gain.
In a nutshell, we cannot expect improvement in anything unless a direct relationship is established between the official and his designated responsibility.
They should stand on the same ground where the citizen is standing and their route should be one and the same.
