The event has been organized by Madinah Islamic University in collaboration with the King Abdulaziz Foundation for Research and Archives (KAFRA).
More than 100 researchers from 35 countries are participating in the three-day conference, which aims to highlight the services offered by the Kingdom for the Muslim world. The conference will focus on the Kingdom’s service to the two holy mosques, its achievements in the propagation of Islam and construction of mosques and academic centers, in addition to its contribution to economic development in the Muslim world and its relief efforts for people hit by calamities, President of Madinah Islamic University Muhammad Al-Oqla said in his address.
The conference will also discuss the Kingdom’s success in the promotion of moderate Islamic principles to counter the spread of deviant ideologies, Al-Oqla added.
Director of KAFRA Fahd Al-Sammari said the foundation was encouraged to cosponsor the event because of the significance of the role played by the Kingdom in the progress of the Ummah.
Muhammad Ali Mahjoub, former Egyptian minister of endowments, also spoke on the occasion, commending the role of the Islamic university in solving the issues of Muslims.
