Kurashima said that the MELSA, a joint venture between Mitsubishi Electric Corporation of Japan and Omar Kasim Alesayi & Co., will set up this facility by next year.
"The facility will help to cater to the growing demands of the technical personnel in Saudi Arabia because of the construction boom," said Kurashima, adding that the facility, currently under construction, is part of the company’s corporate social responsibility (CSR).
He said that the MELSA organized several programs recently to mark the anniversary celebrations. A large number of industry leaders, businessmen and technical experts attended the programs in Riyadh and elsewhere. Mitsubishi's Saudi partner Sheikh Aidroos Hassan Alesayi, Matheen Ahmed Sayeed, vice-president and Mushtaq Ahmed, deputy marketing manager, were also present during the briefing here Thursday.
Referring to the training center project, Kurashima said: "We have acquired 2,700 square meters of land near Exit 17 in Riyadh for the training facility, which will be fully operational by Dec 2011.”
