Mohammed Jameel, BRJ head, extended his gratitude to Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah, Crown Prince Sultan and Second Deputy Premier Prince Naif for their continuous support to BRJ's job-creation initiatives.
Abdulrahman Al-Fihaid, BRJ director of operations in the Kingdom, said these job opportunities involved direct employment, training ending with employment, small projects funding, productive household projects and taxi- and truck-ownership programs.
Makkah province was the main beneficiary of the program in 2010 with the creation of 13,090 jobs, or 29 percent of the annual total.
The report said 1,613 young Saudi men found jobs at several large companies, including Panda, Fawaz Al-Hukair and Abdul Latif Jameel Co. Ltd. The city of Makkah benefited with 1,058 direct recruitments, 1,880 productive-household jobs and 311 small-business-venture financing.
Jeddah was the beneficiary of 5,345 productive-household jobs, 1,363 direct recruitments and 1,187 small-business venture financing. The Eastern Province received 3,645 productive-household positions through the program, as well as 3,001 direct-employment jobs. The total number of jobs created in Eastern Province in 2010 through the program was 7,577.
In Madinah, 5,949 total jobs were created, including 712 from training ending with employment and 3,610 productive household jobs.
Hail province received 3,722 jobs under the program, led by 2,618 productive-household jobs. Tabuk province benefited with 1,838 jobs, including 1,556 productive-household jobs. The province of Riyadh received 4,347 jobs, representing 13 percent of the total. The report said 1,740 jobs were created in Qassim province.
The less-populated provinces of Asir, Jazan and Najran benefited with 7,029 positions, including 3,044 productive-household jobs and 2,454 training positions ending with employment.
Al-Fihaid stated the annual report was verified by Deloitte and Touche. Job opportunities included in the report are verified in the field before announcement to ensure these positions were in fact filled with Saudi workers.
Al-Fihaid extended his appreciation to the labor offices, the Human Resources Development Fund, Saudi Credit and Saving Bank, Charity Social Fund, the National Commercial Bank, and other organizations for their support and continuous cooperation with Bab Rizq Jameel.
Bab Rizq created over 45,000 jobs in 2010
