Yudhoyono is the chief guest at India’s Republic Day
celebrations on Jan. 26.
The Indonesian leader, who arrived in India on Monday, will
meet Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and Indian business leaders on Tuesday,
according to an External Affairs Ministry statement.
The talks are expected to explore ways to step up the two
countries’ $12 billion trade. Energy-starved India is also keen on exporting
high-grade coal from Indonesia to power Indian steel plants and other
industries, the ministry said.
The two countries are also expected to sign an extradition
treaty on Tuesday.
