According to the statement, Riyadh province will receive the lion’s share of the new projects that include the first phase of Alkharj-Quwaieya Road, the second phase of Afif-Dhalam Road and the road linking Riyadh-Qassim Road with Riyadh-Huraimala that passes by Prince Sultan City for Humanitarian Services.
New projects also include the road to Hareek, which will be connected to Haer-Houta Road and the first phase of Sail-Najran Road (the portion of the road in the province). The total length of new roads in the province will reach 962 km, the statement said.
In the Makkah province, the projects are: The fourth phase of the ring road in Jeddah, expansion of Taif-Sail Al-Kabir Road, linking of Sail Al-Kabir with Taif-Riyadh Expressway, second phase of Bisha-Kharma Road, Uqbat Muhammadiya Road, Alzima-Jamoom Road and Um Al-Zella-Hawiya Nemar Road.
New projects in the Madinah province are: The fifth phase of the third ring road, Madinah-Al-Ula-Tabuk Road, Yanbu-Sharma-Haqel Road, Hail-Madinah Road, Rafeea-Jaraf Road. In Qassim, the ministry will implement Qassim-Makkah road, Mudnib-Um Al-Hazm-Alghat Road, fourth phase of the ring road in Al-Rass, the remaining part of Buraidah ring road, Madinah-Qassim Road, and Yanbu-Rabigh-Thuwal Road.
A number of new projects will be carried out in the Eastern Province, the ministry said. They include Dammam-Abuhadriya-Hafr Al-Baten-Ruqae Road, Safwa-Raheema Road, which will be linked with Dammam-Jubail Expressway, Thuwair-Ajaeb Road and completion of Batha-Shayba-Um Al-Zamoul Road.
Eight new projects will be carried in the southern Asir province, the ministry said. They include construction of Saleel-Roudan bin Hashbal Road and Riyadh-Rayen-Bisha Road. In the Tabuk province the projects include Tabuk-Madinah Expressway (with a length of 35 kms), Tabuk-Hail Road, completion of Tabuk-Dhuba Road, and repairing of Yanbu-Sharma-Haqel road.
New projects in the Hail province include repairing of Hail-Madinah Road and Hail ring road, completion of Hail-Madinah two-way road, construction of Wohaiba-Samiraa Road and Hail-Zubaira-Hafr Al-Baten road. Projects in the Northern Frontier Province include the Abu Hadriya-Hafr Al-Baten-Refha Road and Arar-Sakaka Road.
Speaking about projects in Jazan, the statement said they included the first phase of the coastal expressway road linking Jazan and Tiwal. In the Najran Province, the ministry would construct Najran Saleel Road and Najran-Sharourah-Wadea Road. In the Baha province, major works include Riyadh-Rayen-Bisha Road, fifth phase of the ring road, Baljurashi-Aqeeq Road and repairing of Taif-Baha-Abha road. In the northern border province of Al-Jouf a number of new road projects would be carried out including a road to link the railway station in Basita with Maique-Tabuk Road and Radeefa-Hudaitha Road.
